Case Study: Using a Project Charter to Embed Reflection
The York Equity Project team wanted to find a way to establish shared values and to embed these within the project. They designed a session to explore their team values during a 2-day project kick-off event attended by their academic and co-production partners, as well as the immediate project team, and incorporated this into a team charter. The team frames their 6-monthly reflection meetings around the values set out in this document and asks contributors to assess whether the activities they are looking back over are in line with these values. During monthly team meetings there is a reflection standing item. They consider the team charter to be a living document, and make amends as the project progresses.
